Behind the Project
The Pale White Dot didn't begin with a story. It began with a title.
When Periphery released their album "The Pale White Dot", the name immediately painted an image in my mind: a single white dot glowing on an old television screen. It felt strangely hypnotic—simple, yet impossible to ignore.
That image slowly evolved into a fictional meditation broadcast. A calm voice. A pulsing white dot. The promise of peace, clarity and a perfect utopia. It made me wonder how easily people might surrender themselves to an idea if it promised exactly what they had always been searching for.
The Pale White Dot explores what happens when the search for a perfect utopia makes us forget the world that's right in front of us.
